Nicole Northway
Nicole is an artist, educator, and small business owner. Nicole currently teaches at Columbia College and runs One Strange Bird. Nicole received her MFA from UIC in 2008 and has been making and showing artwork for over 10 years. She has shown at Thomas McCormick gallery, the Hyde Park Art Center, and in the Next Fair among others. Nicole is a maker and loves painting, drawing, crafting, and learning new skills to share with her students.

Nicolette Ross
Nicolette Ross earned an MFA degree with honors in 2010 at Washington University in St. Louis, and has spent the past few years traveling, teaching, and nationally exhibiting her artwork. Nicolette recently finished her term as the 2010-2011 Printmaking Artist in Residence at the Lawrence Arts Center in Lawrence, Kansas, where she had the privilege of teaching various printmaking and book arts classes to students of all ages and skill levels. She is the recipient of the 2009 Belle Cramer Award in Printmaking and the 2010 Nancy Spirtas Kranzberg Award for Excellence in Book Design.

Jess Egan
Jess Egan is a Chicago based artist originally from Wisconsin. She is a recent graduated from Columbia College Chicago, receiving her Bachelors of Fine Art Degree with a Minor in Environmental Science. Her interests lie in feminism, environmental activism, and biological processes. She has been teaching for four years with a focus in both art and science. She currently teaches at One Strange Bird, as well as an After School Matters alternative energy program through Columbia College.

Maia Leppo
Maia graduated from Tufts University in 2008 with a degree in Biology and Community Health. After two years in the world of Kidney Research in Boston, MA, she quit her job and moved to Gatlinburg, TN as a participant in the work study program at Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts. Ten metals classes later, she was hooked and knew she wanted to be a metalsmith. She continued her education at Pocosin Arts in Columbia, NC and opened a gallery there. She now is a full time studio artist in Chicago. Maia enjoys running, cooking, reading and being in the studio. Her favorite food is sushi.
